Josh Wilson is an entrepreneurial veteran with careers spanning the TV, journalism, and business development sectors. Josh’s journey in business started in sales and marketing working with established brands such as Mastercard and the Canadian Red Cross, developing key strategies to improve the brands’ ability to grow a returning customer base.

Josh’s career in media started shortly after his tenure in business development with the beginning of his successful blog The FilmCo, which helped launch his career in journalism. He was hired by well-known TV & Film publications KFTV and The Knowledge.

Launching his first company in January 2013, his foray into the television industry was a process. After 2 years developing the firm as its Managing Director, Josh steered the company to winning many commissions against the larger and more established production houses that dominate the U.K. television market.

He has worked with the BBC, National Geographic, Disney, Channel 4, Sky, ESPN, Ximalaya, and many others. His work has been watched in over 150 countries and has been streamed by over 1 billion people around the world. The company won the  Diversity & Inclusion Award at the Amazon Business Awards in 2019 after hiring several women and people from diverse backgrounds to the market. Josh’s meteoric rise was reflected in 2018 with his inclusion in the prestigious Forbes 30 Under 30 list. The next year, Josh was asked to be a judge for the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in entertainment alongside musician Rita Ora and prolific producer Stephen Garrett.

His inclusion on the Forbes list led to Josh writing for Forbes under the Hollywood & Entertainment category. He currently contributes to Forbes Middle East on groundbreaking stories relevant to the region.

Josh became a stakeholder in groundbreaking AI, data, and machine learning company Binj, helping the firm forge partnerships with governments and institutions as its Chief Strategy Officer. He also became a stakeholder in Spirits Capital, a fast-growing entity focused on securitization for the spirits industry utilizing advanced technology for safety and transparency. Both companies are currently based in the United States. Josh is currently working with multi-award-winning musician, philanthropist and businessman, Akon, on developing numerous projects across the energy and infrastructure sectors.

As well as business, Josh is also on the board of both She Matters and Evolvin Women, based out of Europe and the Middle East respectively. Two institutions focused on helping disadvantaged women, predominately under refugee status, find work and safety. Josh has been on a focused and targeted mission for several years to improve media representation and work for a more equitable global society for several emerging markets to promote safety and infrastructure development on a global scale.

Outside of work, Josh is a keen practitioner of yoga and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with a lengthy background in martial arts including kickboxing and boxing.
